Volunteer Work

CASA
Anita and John served as Court Appointed Services Advocates (CASA), under the jurisdiction of Judge Terrence Cody’s Juvenile Court for several years.  As CASA volunteers, Anita and John represented the interest of abuse and neglected children, providing information to Judge Cody in making informed decisions about what is best for the kids going through a very traumatic, confusing time of their lives.

Big Brother
John has been a “Big Brother” mentoring a young Hispanic from Honduras who was studying theology at Louisville’s Southern Baptist Semimary. It was a beneficial experience for both of them as they both grew personally, culturally and professionally.

WHAS Crusade for Children
